IS THIS THE FLAG OF A UNITED IRELAND?
i say it should not be a lot of nationalists will say but the orange repesents the protestants but does it really ?
lets look at it the orange is because of king william he was dutch .the green repesents the native irish people .hold on im a native and a protestant so that rules it out.and is nt blue the offical colour of Ireland after all?so this flag here is not inclusive of protestants in northern ireland the orange order yes but are nt they concidered bigots so we are all labeled bigots then ?I think there should be a new flag how about the st patricks cross with the 4 provinces in each section .The tricolour to me repesents the ira and in all my hearts i could not look on it as my national flag i think many unionists would feel the same i could be wrong but doubt it.so if there is going to be a united ireland will they change the flag for the protestant people as the current one is outdated. There is a lot of talk about the union flag must go but why are the protestant people supposed to fade away and take everything yet not get anything that shows they are part of a united ireland

Unionists are the ones who feel an affinity with the colour orange. That is why it is used in the flag. You make it out like it's an insult to unionists when ina ctual fact, it's a gesture of goodwill.
As for you associating the Irish flag with the IRA, the racist BNP use the union jack all the time. Should I therefore associate the union jack with racism?
not all unionists are orange men it was a goodwill gesture back then . Its not the flag for the future you say that the union jack is used by the bnp so should you regard it with rasism no because that is totally a different issue the ira bury there dead in it and use the colours to say this is nationalist area's so of course unionists will resent the tricolour
