focus on the story, not looks: charlize theron is getting annoyed at suggestions that she is subverting her natural beauty by taking roles which call for a non glamorous look. She was talking about her next role as a factory worker and she said in response to people saying she's doing another ugly movie "I don't know, I'm not an American,I grew up in this small town in south Africa." In America she explained,"there is so much emphasis put on the physical aspect of the character and also I think on actors just as individuals. It's just so outrageous."she also went on to say "people should pay attention to the meaning of the stories in her movies not her physical attributes." now if only more women in the media would stand up and be counted .Instead of us having to see pictures of pencil thin women who look ugly and I think they do it makes me sick looking at them and thinking young women will try and copy the look if there is NT enough pressures on the young to succeed these days.
