Hi there my names William I was born in Hollywood county down in 1965.holywood is classed as an affluent suburb of Belfast . Lucky for me I was born in white city(loughveiw estate)so we did nt have to assoite with well to do.i went to redburn primary my first couple years were interrupted by sickness . I did manage the last 3 years there and did the 11+ .Went to Hollywood high school and to my suprise ended up in highest class 1a1 for first couple weeks i was waiting for them to say your in wrong class never happened .I ended up getting caned every day by one teacher or another. 2 ND year I went into 2c2 the lowest class in school still getting caned most days . I mitched for 3 months with my sister and never even got a letter or visit from beaky board. so i got impression they where happy to see the back of me. 3 rd year my mum and dad split. Mum went to Australia dad to England. And my sisters and I stayed in Hollywood. As you do in them situations I went wild and got in trouble with cops and when went to school I usually got caned every wed after lunch a teacher would NT even let me in her class . Id stand outside and the headmaster would either walk around and lead me to his office for 6 of the best. Or he d just wave from his window and id head around forgot to mention I was caned in primary school many times I was one of the first in redburn to be caned infront of everyone went to aus 2 days after my 15 the birthday. I arrived in Australia on grand final day Richmond v collingwood after watching football(soccer) all my life I had no idea what kinda game this was . 2 months after my 16 the birthday I told my mum I was going to rosebud about 20 kms from mornington where we now called home (mornington was a beach town . we lived about 10 mins walk from beach) I rang her 4 days later from meekatharra in western Australia. It was my first time hitch hiking long distance it was a good journey I carried a bowie knife for procetion I was searched by police in south aus and they saw the knife and asked what it was for I told them they said would you use it I said if I was in danger so they gave it back and told me to keep it in my bag. One thing I learnt in aus was there are gay men I must have been so naive in Ulster mum said she did NT have my uncles address so I went into a shop and they told me to try shire offices. As I was walking across I saw a council worker and asked him did he know rod ---- he asked why I said he was my uncle and id never meet him he said IM Rodney he took me to his sister in laws and said he d pick me up after work the house was full and I was very quite but they made me feel like part of the family. I had heard some bad stories about aboringines. But it turned out to be mostly what people who had NT meet any said .We went to my uncles house it was just corrugated iron put together in a bush camp there was a couple of other family's there and only bore water no wonder people drank grog .Well that was the start and for next 10 years I moved a lot in 1991 I went back home to Hollywood it was supposed to be for 6 months it ended up 6 years . I went back to aus bought a house in hoppers crossing it was the longst id been in one place (when in n Ireland I went to Scotland for a time and back to Aug about 3 times after a year my feet itch) I stayed 5 yrs now IM in can its my 3 rd time and hopefully my last as I have meet the woman who I hope to spend my life with I have 2 step children liam and taylor and emma and myself have a daughter saoirse over the yrs I ve leart a lot from people i dont read much ive read about 5 book s in my life my favorite is the lion witch and the wardrode, ill tell a few yarns along the way hope the don't bore you to much? When i left to come back to melb from meekatharra i had a broken toe and was on crutch's well uncle Ron dropped me off at outskirts of town it must have been about 5 or 6 in the morning , I was standing there and saw this pack of wild dogs heading towards me there were about 10 dogs in the pack all sorts I had heard that they came into town but thought it was at night well I was shiting my self I lifted my crutch and pointed it like it was a gun it worked the dogs veered off but I was still wary . I got a lift (if you had seen you road it was a red dust track some parts where tarmac , the bloke who gave me a lift turned off and I got out as I was heading to Perth but at least I was a couple hours closer so I started walking it was getting towards the end of the day I think it was about 4 but I never had a watch and you lost track of time wick I liked anyway as I walked I saw a cemetery and again I was wishing I was still in meekatharra. Well I got to Perth it was dark and I walked miles to get to the road to melb I was starting to think I was nt going to get a lift it must have been past midnite as their hardly no traffic a car stopped and i got in he told me that it was his friends car and he was dropping it off at coolgardie (I think that s how its spelt) I knew it was stolen after he said that but a lift was a lift . I said so you stole it and he said yeah and I stole a plant as well . He pulled into the bush just of the outskirts of coolgardie and wanted me to travel with him I did nt want to so we parted ways I say him get a lift I should have stuck with him as it took me a future three days to get to Adelaide hitching was like that . As I was walking towards the hills a man asked if I wanted a lift to the hills I said yes I thought he was being kind as I had back pack and crutch's as we drove he asked if like sex with girls I said hell yeah(I know IM naive) as I got out the car he said "if you want you can stay at my place tonight as it might be hard to get a lift and I wont do anything that you don't want me to " I said no thanks and got out , then it dawned on me what he said and I was saying dirty bastard into myself . I got a lift by 2 young guys must have been in there 20's and I told them what happened they dropped me off in the middle of nowhere I was pissed I thought they where being funny (I later found out during the early 80s there was a group of phedophiles operating in Adelaide so I don't know if they where looking out for me) I stood at the spot where they dropped me got down on my honkers and put my thumb out there where no cars next thing I see is blue lights flashing I had fallen asleep in that position (I don't know if the men told cops they dropped me off strange playback for cops to be middle of nowhere in middle of night)they told me to go behind the bushes and sleep I got a lift in the morning a truck dropped me off on right road and I got back to Malibu so I don't know if I was being watched over by a higher being I like to think it was my guardian angel but I was glad to see my bed
